Which door shall you enter?

At some point in your life you have to sit down and really think hard about what you're doing, what you've done, and what you will do next; this is not an easy thing to do, especially when all your choices include things you want! How do you choose between a prime rib sandwich, a big fat jucy ribeye steak, and a chicken nugget happy meal from MceeDee's? Ok, well, maybe the chicken nuggets are easily set aside, BUT YOU GET A TOY!!! I'm sure my analogy will prove to be very inaccurate once I'm done writing and end up talking about how Billy Mays died... but for now I'll try to stay on the most important topic at hand... Billy Mays.

In the past few years I've had my fair share of difficult decisions; where to live, what job should I get, should I push my new business now or later... all are things I really struggled with! When it came down to it, what you have to realize is sometimes your decisions are made for you (thanks to my wife, Traci - Love you!), and some decisions you have to jump in and find out what happens, the rest of the times God sends down an answer in the form of a pillar of light from the heavens with it all the tools to get the job done. Most of the time I wait for the pillar of light, which is why I never get anything done.

It would be nice if God were to speak from the heavens, or send an angel, or something cool like that, but most of the time it's you that has to make the decision based on what God has taught you in the past. You can't always have it handed down on a silver platter, but what God has given all of us is a free choice and the ability to choose based on what our conscience suggests. Always pray and keep God close, though, because most likely he will not leave you behind with nothing to help; Keep God close and he may give you something small that's just what you need.

What have I learned? Well, since you ask, I've learned that the chicken nuggets never give me enough protein, and the toys are always lame, so I'll choose the prime rib sandwich with seasoned waffle fries and a side of ribeye steak, medium well, and a baked potato!

Only Phil could write something like this. I like it.

But what if you can't choose BOTH the prime rib sandwich AND the ribeye steak?

Then I'll re-write the blog to include the ribeye steak with the prime rib sandwich option... simple!

If you come to the famous "Osky BBQ" you'll get a ribeye and all the toys your heart desires! I have heard both sides of the story and "theology".. God will actually speak to you.. just wait for Him to tell you and you will know what to do. OR you have the tools and training from God to know what to do and He trusts you to make that decision.. good thoughts.. What about the beef tenderloin though?

The Osky BBQ sounds delightful: Ribeye AND toys, what a deal!!! Beef tenderloin sounds good too, maybe I'll have that as my appetizer... And you're right, God has a way of direction, pray hard and all will work out for the best; prayer is also key! Thanks Ben!
